Taking Time For My Bad Habit

On occasion, I will indulge in my very bad habit.  It's terrible and awful and I just enjoy it so much.

On occasion, my husband will bring home a cigar and we will sit on the front porch and share it.

It's bad, I know.  But nothing makes me chill and zen faster than front porch sitting, and if a cigar happens to pass between us, all the nicer.

In the dusky fading evening light, feet propped up on the rail, dogs sitting with us, watching the neighborhood slow down, it is one of my favorite places to be.

Might need to get a warmer sweatshirt on....these September evenings have turned a tad chilly!

  1. I have never smoked and HATED it, mostly because it caused the death of my mother but, The Hubby does cigars sometimes, and I have to admit I've enjoyed a few myself. You don't really inhale them so...Enjoy!

  2. When I was about 8, I stole all my grandmother's cigarettes, broke them in half and threw them away, because I wanted her to quit smoking. Needless to say, that did not work and I got in a small bit of trouble! I never in a million years thought I would smoke when I grew up. But, eh, cigars are different and sometimes it's nice to enjoy!

Ps a little of what we like is good for the soul!
