B Is For Birthday Card

B is for Birthday Card
The one I didn't send
The one I keep forgetting
To my 9 year old nephew
Who doesn't need a phone call
Or happy birthday singing
But wants a piece of birthday mail
With every ounce of being
I should give up the hope
That I will ever be on time
And only buy Belated Birthday Wishes
Cuz that is how I roll
Every single year!

  2. Michelle...there are just some things we have difficulty with. I used to send my children a card every week when they were in college. I was the "super mom." They so appreciated them and hung them for everyone to see. Now that I'm much busier, I don't take the time to tell them how much I love them with cards. So sad. :-( Thanks for your post and belated birthday cards are wonderful!

  3. I used to be very good at sending Birthday cards but in the last couple of years this has gone drastically downhill. I resolved to make it better this year, but like most New Year's resolutions I have had little success!

  5. hey there. i'm one of tina's minions. just checking ing.

my birthday was this past saturday. and my five-year-old nephew called that morning to tell me happy birthday and got my voicemail. he only knows me, though, as wub. so when he heard my name on the message, he looked at my brother as asked who jenn griffin was. my brother said, that's wub. and my nephew goes, yeah, but who's jenn griffin?

    cracked me up.

as for your nephew, better to get there belated than not at all, yeah?

  6. Late birthday cards are as great as the ones that are on time because it extends your birthday out even more! Hehe. That's how I felt as a kid anyway. :)

  7. I used to be fairly good about the card thing, but somewhere along the way I dropped that ball and never really picked it back up. I think about it fairly often, but I don't suppose that counts for much. ;)
