It's What's For Dinner

The kids and the hubby
Have taken off for happening events
And I am at home
Comfy pants and relaxing
I know before I leave work
What I want for dinner
It's just me and the three dogs
Chilling on the couch
Watching a movie
And a big bowl of popcorn
It's some for me,
One for Emma, one for Sarah, one for Olive
Some for me
Round and round until
The bowl is empty

Buttered Popcorn:
It's what's for dinner.

    1. It was so good! The secret is not being stingy with the butter. The dogs agree with this too!

    1. It was a really good night. I watched two movies and completely ignored any chores that might have been undone!

    1. The girls are intensely crazy over the three P's: pizza, pancakes and popcorn. If they didn't get a taste of those things, their sad puppy eyes would be the death of me!

  4. I love nights like that in a quiet house. It recharges my batteries to have the place to myself for several hours. Hope you enjoyed it.

    1. That is it exactly! I came home to a quiet-ish house, the girls were so excited to see me they jumped around the kitchen and barked. Even more so when I got out the popcorn popper! It was all about me time and I really enjoyed it.

  5. I love popcorn. I had a dog as a teen who loved it, too. Last weekend, our current dog got into the bowl and threw up three different times. So, no more for him.

    1. Our girls have cast iron stomachs, as long as the food is cool to cold. Watching them wait for their pancakes to cool is pretty funny!

  8. I had a friend who used to share Doritos with her cat. She would eat all three corners off and he would eat the center. It was quite adorable. Thanks for the giggle and the memory.
