Dr. Suess was never more right than when he wrote in one of my favorite books, "X is very useful if your name is Nixie Knox. It also comes in handy spelling ax and extra fox."
I couldn't sing the words I know and hum through the ones I don't to George Strait's "All My Ex's Live In Texas" without that clever little letter.
Without X, I couldn't say my favorite string of letters: XYZ PDQ. Seriously, as a kid, this was the coolest sounding combination of letters that didn't spell a word that I'd ever heard.
X is crucial to the word I feel right now: exhausted! And so I am off to bed.
Cute.
ReplyDeleteGreat post.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Fun post! I remember saying XYZ PDQ! LOL
ReplyDeleteI think we should use X more often. An X word a day, perhaps! I'm trying to visit all the A-Z Challenge Blogs this month. My alphabet is at myqualityday.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteXYZ PDQ XYZ PDQ . (Yes .. now I'm going around the house chanting this..
ReplyDeleteLove it! I'm running through the A-Z challenge list to meet and greet a few more new friends before we get to the end. I'm a new follower too and looking forward to getting to know you after the challenge :)
ReplyDeleteCute posting. I realized I am old enough but not too old to remember xyzpdq. :)

ReplyDeleteX and I are well acquainted--alas, primarily in the word "exhausted" as you mentioned.
