C is for the Convertible
The one I used to own
One dark commute
One load unsecured and lost
Then found in a crunch and crumble
Bumper, skid pan, radiator
Only injured party is my car.
Who knew a bicycle
Could total a vehicle?
C is for the Convertible
The one I'm going to buy
Soft top, priced right
Ready for the first warm day
Sun filled adventure
Project cars need not apply.
Sorry for your loss - I had a convertible VW Cabriolet and it was a blast! I lived 1/2 mile from the beach, and loved it! Yes, you definitely need to save your pennies and get another one!
ReplyDeleteI told my husband we could use the money to buy something 'sensible' but he said No Way, we are getting another convertible. I love that guy!
DeleteThat's some story! Great post :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteOh, I love convertibles. I had a sweet little red Miata I loved but The Hubby said it wasn't practical and he feared for my safety...it went bye-bye and I've been sad ever since.
ReplyDeleteMine was a red Miata too. Loved it! It's only been gone a week, so I'm really missing it.
Deletei had a convertible it was known as the brown bomber--which probably tells you it wasn't very sexy---i don't think i ever let the top down--great poem
ReplyDeleteI've driven with the top down in February in Washington state! I was risking some rain, but the blue sky was and yellow sun was too inviting.
DeleteOuch to the mighty bicycle that took out the convertible. And I'm totally with you on the someday one. :)
ReplyDeleteWe have a good start with what the insurance is giving us, but....it won't be the same!
DeleteConvertible >>> bycicle any day :)
ReplyDeletethat said, a relaxing bike ride is nice once in a while!

You've got me daydreaming of a trip along the coast, hair blowing in the wind, sea breeze tingling my face, smell of fresh produce, eucalyptus and redwood trees...I'm so there...thank you!
