1. At the same time my umbrella half collapsed (yes, I'm still using the old broken one) and got caught in my hair (yes, that worry was valid), I realized I was still wearing my rubber finger tip from the office. Well, my finger does feel naked without it.
2. The ability to master buttons is amazing. As a kid there is the struggle to push a button through the right hole, and here I am now, the boss of these buttons, doing them up with one hand as I hold a collapsing umbrella in the other.
3. Maybe the rubber finger helped with the buttoning?
something about this post, i liked very much--it made me think of a kinda chilly rain on an autumn day and yellow rain boots!
ReplyDeleteLove this! I have a little one now who is just learning how to button things. :)
ReplyDeleteI am very impressed with your nimble fingers, Michelle.
ReplyDeleteLOL! I felt the same way this week at work when I came in from the parking lot and my umbrella flipped inside out except I wasn't wearing my rubber finger thingie yet ;)
ReplyDeleteIt appears I have a lot to learn about juggling umberellas on the way to the car from work. I am so used to parking in the car park right outside the door I never had need for an umberella! Now I have moved jobs it is a whole different story and I had a major brolly malfunction yesterday, juggling work bags, library books for the kids and an umberella that refused to stay the right way round.....How do you do it?? I need lessons, buttons and a broken brolly!!!
