Small Stone #16

The trees are alive with birds....round, plump, fluffy feathered birds....perching on tree limbs, snow falling.  They look cold.  Maybe we should invite them in?  We'll send the invitation out via the dogs......funny thing, no takers.  The sky is alive with birds in fright.

  1. We try to remember our feathered friends by putting out seed and crumbs on the deck railing, for those in transit. The birds provide a delightfully animated backdrop to the more sedentary snow. And there is nothing more comical than seeing that dogs struggle just as much with the snow as I do. It evens out the playing field.

    1. I'm not a bird fan, but there is something about seeing them in winter that makes me invest in some birdseed!
