Small Stone #19

Reading unlimited bedtime stories to sleepover nephews......I can hear my Grandma's voice and the rhythm of Arthur Cluck and Little Bear......I hope I sound just like that as I read Green Eggs and Ham.

  1. I read to my boys from the time I could prop them up together. When seventh grade Lito came out of a medical procedure, he was a wreck, and the only thing-I do mean the only thing-that would get him through, was to hear me read "Where the Red Fern Grows" aloud, AGAIN, there in his hospital room. It worked for him, and funny as it may seem, it worked for me.

  2. I started reading to my son when he was a newborn...it never occurred to me to not read to him. He liked the sound of my voice and I like so many "kid" books. Some of my favorite memories are of breakfast picnics, biscuits and a thermos of hot chocolate and the current family read aloud book.
